Gosaku Ota
is a former member of Dynamic Productions. His real name is . He has also used the pseudonym of . He was born in March 16, 1948, in the city of Kaminoyama in Yamagata Prefecture
His professional debut was in 1971 with ''Himawari-chan'' for the ''Bessatsu Shonen Jump'' magazine. He is mostly known for his versions of the super robots of Dynamic, such as ''Mazinger Z'', ''Great Mazinger'', ''Getter Robot'' and ''UFO Robot Grendizer''. He is also the main designer of ''Groizer X''. He is still drawing manga independently.
